I'm Jack, i grew up in Michigan, but moved away when I was 18.

Been living in Portland, Oregon for awhile, but i just moved back about a week ago.  My family is here and i still have a couple friends here and there, but mostly I am looking to establish myself in the community, make new friends etc.

A little about me, I'm FTM, queer/bi/pansexual//whatever-- i'm mostly into dating guys but i've dated and been in relationships with everyone.  Just getting out of a serious long-term relationship and trying to rebuild my life, sort of starting over from scratch.  I'm applying to grad school and want to teach High School English.

I am progressive in my politics, i love to read, I have a cat and a dog who are both super sweet. Staying in metro Detroit area right now, but will be moving to SW Detroit in late January.

I don't drink.  i don't mind being around alcohol/going to bars, but love to do stuff that's not centered around alcohol too (which can be kinda hard to come by in gay/queer communities).  i do enjoy going out dancing and going to karaoke though, so it's not like i'm totally opposed to hanging out in bars.

Anyway, just looking to get to know some cool people in the area and find some interesting things (queer and non-queer centered stuff) in the area to get involved in.

anyway, so send me an email at jackson.benjamin.robinson@gmail.com if you might be into hanging out or if you know of anything cool going on i might be into.

Subject:Creating Change Conference is coming Feb 6-10 to Detroit

Why YOU should volunteer for the Creating Change Conference!

Here are the top three reasons:

3. Meet, work with, and be inspired by more than 300 new and old friends from right here in Michigan

2. Power is sexy and you'll feel great knowing you helped build our collective power.

1. Each day that you work a four hour shift, you can attend for FREE!

Sign up to volunteer now!

Between 2-3,000 activists, leaders and decision makers in the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community will soon descend upon the Marriott Renaissance Center in Detroit for the 20th Annual Creating Change Conference. Creating Change is the nation's largest and most unique skills building and strategy conference held annually by the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force. The conference takes place on February 6-10, 2008. Don't miss out!

In addition to on-site volunteers, the Creating Change Host Committee is looking for friendly people to provide housing and transportation for our out-of-state guests who can't afford to state at the hotel. If you have space in your home and are willing to host individuals from February 5-10, please sign up now.

For more information about this momentous event, please visit the Creating Change website at http://www.creatingchange.org or contact Carrie Copeland, Co-Chair for the Creating Change Host Committee, at 248-398-7105 or ccopeland@goaffirmations.org.

Are you fat, curvy, chubby? Do you like to shake it?

I am looking into the possibility of starting a burlesque troupe in the Detroit area to showcase the talents of fat artists and activists. It would be open to large people of all genders who wish to show the world that fat people are sexy, too!

My vision is that this will be a collaborative experience, troupe members will learn from and inspire one another in a supportive environment, and that people with different levels of experience and abilities will be welcome to join, explore, and hone their skills.

Interested parties and those with questions should contact me, Carrie, at carrie.ev.copeland@gmail.com.

Hi all, my name's Stephen and I am 22 years old. I just moved to Royal Oak a month ago from Allentown, PA. Things have been great for me out here thus far and I don't think that will change anytime soon. I finally got a job after month of searching, so yay me. I start this week working at Caribou Coffee right on Maple and Telegraph. I have met a lot of nice people out here and it's my hope that I continue to make friends and really enjoy myself out here. Well just thought I'd introduce myself and stuff. I love talking to people and making new friends. I am on aim a lot so anyone wanting to talk or whatever check out my info and say hi sometime. Well off to bed now, lots to today. Byes for now.

Hey guys...

This is gonna sound a bit odd, so hear me out. Both of my roommates are leaving the state around the middle of the month, leaving me with a three bedroom 2.5 bathroom townhouse in Auburn Hills. Aside from the fact I can't afford the place by myself, I don't want to do it by myself.

So, here's the deal: I'm 27 and gay (obviously). Non-smoker, non-bar guy, not a partier, no drugs. I am looking for a roommate. You'll have your own bathroom. Rent is $600/month and it includes all utilities (including wireless internet). Our complex has a gym, pool and covered assigned parking. I'm right on Squirrel between Auburn and Hamlin. Very easy access to 75 and 59.

Here's what I'm looking for: basically the same as me (see above). This isn't an all inclusive list of the place and whatnot, but feel free to ask if you do have any questions. I promise I don't bite...much. ;)
